4-Pole Submersible Sewage Pump โ€” 1440 RPM Continuous Duty for CETP, STP & ETP

Heavy-duty 4-pole submersible sewage pump running at 1440 RPM for reduced wear and longer service life. Handles soft solids up to 70mm. Designed for continuous duty in CETP, STP, and ETP applications across India.

About 4-Pole Submersible Sewage Pumps

Flow Chem 4-pole submersible sewage pumps are purpose-built for continuous 24/7 duty in demanding treatment plant conditions. Designed and manufactured at our ISO 9001:2015 certified facility in Gujarat.

A 4-pole motor runs at approximately 1440 RPM โ€” half the speed of standard 2-pole pumps (2850 RPM). This lower speed dramatically reduces wear on all moving parts: mechanical seals last longer, bearing life is extended, impeller erosion is reduced, and motor winding temperature stays lower.

Available from 3 HP to 15 HP in three-phase configuration only. The wider impeller clearances at 1440 RPM allow the pump to handle soft solids up to 70mm โ€” larger than the 60mm capacity of 2-pole sewage pumps.

Key Features

Engineered for extended service life in continuous duty sewage and slurry applications

๐Ÿ”„
Continuous Duty Motor

1440 RPM operation reduces mechanical stress on seals, bearings, and impeller. Designed for 24/7 operation in CETP, STP, and ETP plants without rest periods.

๐Ÿ”‡
Lower Vibration

Half the speed means significantly reduced vibration. Less wear on mechanical seals, bearings, and motor windings. Extends pump service life by 30-50% compared to 2-pole pumps.

๐Ÿ”จ
Larger Solids Handling

Wider impeller clearances at 1440 RPM accommodate soft solids up to 70mm โ€” larger than standard 2-pole sewage pumps (60mm). Handles bigger organic solids without clogging.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ
Double Mechanical Seal

Double mechanical seals with oil chamber provide reliable motor protection during extended submerged operation. Reduced speed means longer seal life compared to high-speed pumps.

๐ŸŒก๏ธ
Cooler Motor Operation

Lower RPM means lower motor winding temperature. Reduced heat generation extends insulation life and prevents thermal overload trips during continuous 24/7 operation.

๐Ÿ”ฉ
Guide Rail System

Compatible with guide rail auto-coupling systems for easy installation and removal without entering the sump. Essential for continuous duty plants where maintenance windows are limited.

Applications

Flow Chem 4-pole sewage pumps serve continuous duty applications across India's treatment plants

๐Ÿญ

CETP Plants

Common effluent treatment plant pumping for shared industrial facilities. 24/7 continuous duty operation handles combined effluent from multiple industries reliably.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ

STP Recirculation

Sewage treatment plant recirculation and return activated sludge pumping. Low speed ensures long service life in continuous recirculation loops.

๐Ÿงช

ETP Transfer

Effluent treatment plant continuous transfer pumping. Handles industrial effluent with solids, chemicals, and abrasive particles at lower speed for extended life.

๐Ÿ”„

Sludge Return

Return activated sludge pumping in biological treatment processes. Lower speed reduces shear damage to active biological floc compared to high-speed pumps.

๐Ÿ—๏ธ

Industrial Sumps

Industrial sump and pit pumping for factories, refineries, and processing plants. Continuous duty capability handles round-the-clock waste water collection.

๐Ÿ˜๏ธ

Lift Stations

Municipal sewage lift station pumps for residential and commercial areas. Reduced noise from lower speed is suitable for lift stations near populated areas.

2-Pole vs 4-Pole: Which Is Right for You?

Choose the right motor speed for your application requirements

4-Pole Pumps (1440 RPM) โ€” This Page

Best for: Continuous duty applications where extended service life and reduced maintenance are priorities.

Lower speed means reduced wear on seals, bearings, and impellers, extending service life by 30-50%. Lower vibration, noise, and motor temperature. Handles larger solids (70mm vs 60mm). Essential for 24/7 CETP, STP, and ETP operations.

Typical uses: STP recirculation, CETP transfer, sludge return, continuous duty industrial sumps.

2-Pole Pumps (2850 RPM)

Best for: High flow applications where space is limited and compact pump size is important.

Higher speed means smaller pump dimensions for the same flow rate. Ideal for sewage lift stations, transfer pumping, and applications where installation space is restricted. Higher velocity provides better self-cleaning action.

Typical uses: Municipal lift stations, STP inlet pumping, septic tank pumping, building drainage.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between 2-pole and 4-pole submersible pumps?

2-pole pumps run at 2850 RPM and 4-pole pumps run at 1440 RPM. The lower speed of 4-pole pumps reduces wear on seals, bearings, and impellers, extending service life by 30-50%. 4-pole pumps are recommended for continuous duty applications like CETP, STP, and ETP where the pump runs 24/7.

What does CETP, STP, and ETP mean?

CETP = Common Effluent Treatment Plant (shared facility for multiple industries). STP = Sewage Treatment Plant (municipal or residential sewage). ETP = Effluent Treatment Plant (individual industrial facility). All three require continuous-duty pumps for reliable 24/7 operation.

Why is 1440 RPM better for continuous duty?

1440 RPM produces less vibration, lower bearing loads, reduced seal wear, and lower motor temperature compared to 2850 RPM. These factors combine to significantly extend pump life in 24/7 operation. The trade-off is slightly lower flow rate per HP, which is compensated by using larger pump models.

What is the typical lifespan of a 4-pole Flow Chem pump?

With proper installation and maintenance, Flow Chem 4-pole sewage pumps typically last 10-18 years in continuous duty โ€” significantly longer than 2-pole pumps (8-12 years). The reduced operating speed is the primary factor in extended service life.

Do you provide installation services for 4-pole pumps?

Yes, Flow Chem provides professional pump installation services across India. Our team handles site assessment, pit preparation, pump installation, guide rail fitting, electrical connections, commissioning, and operator training.
